fanta.bio RDF Now Available in RDF Portal
We are pleased to announce the release of fanta.bio RDF in RDF Portal. fanta.bio (Functional genome ANnotations with Transcriptional Activities) is a database of functional genome annotations designed to support studies of gene regulation, with a primary focus on cis-regulatory elements (CREs), such as promoters and enhancers.
fanta.bio identifies CREs using publicly available CAGE (Cap Analysis of Gene Expression) data, including data from the FANTOM5 and FANTOM6 projects. It provides genomic locations and transcriptional activities of these elements across diverse cell and tissue types. The database also integrates information on transcription factor binding sites from ChIP-Atlas and genomic variants from TogoVar for humans and MoG+ for mice, helping researchers explore the relationships between regulatory elements, transcriptional activity, and genetic variation.
The RDF representation enables SPARQL queries and integration with other life science datasets in RDF Portal.
